[Demolished] Glidden Paint Factory
Demolished back in the early part of February 2012, the Glidden Paint Factory in Atlanta was a hotspot for graffiti artists, photo shoots, and the occasional music video production.
The abandoned building was part of Glidden Paints, a company that has been around since 1875 and continues to operate to this day.
The paint factory was one of the most well known destinations among explorers in the Atlanta area. While visiting it was not uncommon to see at least two or three other groups roaming the elaborately spray-painted infrastructure.
While exploring the site, Robert Zemeckis was shooting for the upcoming film Flight starring Denzel Washington in the adjacent lot.
A quick search of the Web reveals countless individuals who have visited or desired to visit the factory. Many Atlanta locals had a strong connection to Glidden and were disappointed to see it go.
